THE WILL BIBLE

I started translating the Holy Bible in 1991 and the title then was THE WILL New Testament (A Plain Translation from Greek to English). When I was to publish it with lulu.com, I was constrained to follow the maximum number of characters for the title and it was trimmed down to THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English).

I had long been looking for a copy of the Septuagint but to no avail until somebody in 2003 gave me a CD of the e-Sword where the Septuagint, among others, is one of the adds-on. That lead me to start translating the Old Testament.

The translation of the New Testament was in an older computer which is not connected to the internet and due to several problems, the hard disk of that computer was only transferred to my computer connected to the internet in 2006 that the translation was only published through lulu.com in 2006.

I translate the Holy Bible from Greek to English plainly - from a Greek word to its equivalent English word. PLAIN (adjective) means

1. clear or distinct to the eye or ear;

2. clear to the mind; evident, manifest, or obvious;

3. conveying the meaning clearly and simply; easily understood;

4. downright; sheer; utter; self-evident;

5. free from ambiguity or evasion; candid; outspoken: the plain truth of the matter;

6. without special pretensions, superiority, elegance, etc.; ordinary;

7. without intricacies or difficulties;

8. ordinary, simple;9. with little or no embellishment, decoration, or enhancing elaboration;

Or in short, lucid, understandable, intelligible, unmistakable, apparent, perspicuous, unambiguous, unequivocal, patent, transparent, direct, unreserved, straightforward, blunt, frank, ingenuous, open, sincere, unpretentious, unadorned.

Since it is no longer the New Testament that is translated and some of the books of the Old Testament was already published, and the translation is going on, the title of the translation developed into THE WILL BIBLE (indicating the books translated).
